Starting June 27, applications for the Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP) will be open for children under 18 and individuals aged 18-64 with a valid Disability Tax Credit. The CDCP aims to reduce financial barriers to accessing oral health care for eligible Canadian residents.
Do You Qualify?
To qualify for the Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP), you must meet all the eligibility criteria.
You must:
Not have access to dental insurance
Have an adjusted family net income of less than $90,000
Be a Canadian resident for tax purposes
Have filed your tax return for the previous year
If you meet all the eligibility criteria, you may qualify for the CDCP.
If you have dental coverage through government social programs
If you have dental coverage through a provincial, territorial or federal government social program, you can still qualify for the CDCP. If you meet all the eligibility criteria, your coverage will be coordinated between the plans to ensure there are no duplication or gaps in coverage.
